Black Caviar Fever!

Well, the race has been run and won… Although I think it was really won before the gates even opened!

A tap with the heels by Nolen and she put five lengths on the field in the blink of an eye!

And what a fantastic event!  Big Screen Video was there in force as you would expect with eleven screens in action on the day – a combination of outdoor, indoor and semi-outdoor screens.

We were also there in force in terms of people – in addition to the technical staff that were unfortunately on duty for the day, we had a group of 20 staff and clients thoroughly entertained in the Parade Ring Marquee for the day.  From all reports a fantastic day was had by all…

And we’ll do it all again on May 12th for the Goodwood Handicap.

A huge crowd in front of one of our eleven screens there on the day!

These sorts of events truly reinforce the need in the market for large format LED screens.  Ok, so you don’t get 30,000 people to your pub on a Friday night BUT it really isn’t all that different – people have an expectation that they’ll be able to watch their favourite sporting event on a BIG screen!

All codes of football are well underway for the year and the Olympics are just around the corner so if you are looking to gain that COMPETITIVE EDGE and draw customers into your venue, there’s no better time to start talking to us!

Big Screen Video bringing in the crowds!

Big Screen Video bringing in the crowds!

Just prior to Christmas Big Screen Video installed a large semi-outdoor LED screen into the beer garden of the Sevenhill Hotel, in the tiny Clare Valley town of Sevenhill.

New owner, Dorham Pfeiffer, wanted a big screen in the beer garden and knew the ambient light would make any conventional TV unwatchable due to glare on the screen. Of course, this is exactly what our LED screens are designed for! The plan was to draw the crowds in for sporting events and other attractions such as karaoke on the Big Screen!

Has it been a success? You bet it has!

This is one of two text messages we received from Dorham (too busy to even phone us!):

"Big Screen Video going off in the Valley. I just had to move a group of 20 out of the beer garden after the end of the days play in the cricket to make way for the group of 40 I have booked for Karaoke on the Big Screen for their Christmas dinner! Welcome to the mid-North! Dorham."

And this is the second report we received:

"Everyone told me to close over Christmas as business would be terrible... I decided to stay open and promoted the Big Screen on an a-frame sign out the front. We were flat out for both the Boxing Day Test and the New Years Test!"

It is great for us to hear these reports! And this type of reaction is common with our screens - it goes to show how important it is to have a point of difference to the competition... A drawcard that brings in the punters!

All of us at Big Screen Video wish Dorham and the team at Sevenhill continued success!

With the footy season just around the corner (and the Olympics this year) now could be the time to speak to us about getting a Big Screen installed...

Big Screen Video Screen Shootout

The advantages of LED technology over all conventional forms of TV (including backlit 'LED' screens) is undisputed.  These advantages truly come into their own in highly-lit areas (such as beer gardens or high ambient light indoor areas) - Big Screen Video screens are far brighter (up to 12 times) than conventional TVs and they show no glare whatsoever...

Of course, we don't expect you to take our word for it so we put together a screen shootout by lining up one of our 3.75 square metre screens against a projector, a Plasma and an LCD screen.  The photos below speak for themselves...

If you look closely enough, all the screens are on and displaying the same signal!

The photos above provide a very good example of why we are so passionate about LED technology!  If you are still not convinced, contact us and we can demonstrate a screen on site at your venue...
